IN THE LAB
Green Corn Lab is the name I develop iOS apps under, as an independent developer. I move back and forth between things to play — puzzles, action, apps children learn from — and small tools for life at home: what to cook, splitting a bill, keeping track of a child's week.
- Some of them ship with no asset files at all. The screens are drawn in code and the sound is synthesised as it plays
- Games with stages are played all the way through by a machine first, to make sure every one of them can actually be finished
- Many started from something we needed at home: what to cook tonight, splitting a bill after a trip, which clothes still fit
- Whatever one app teaches me goes into the next one
